3 Year Olds – Mrs. Nary
May 1, 2017
Dear Preschool Families,
I am so happy the weather has improved and we can get outside again! We really enjoyed out time outside last week. We are hoping to have plenty of fresh air time this week. Last week we finished our study of Easter and the Passion of Jesus. The children really know the story well. This coming week we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Our Lady’s visit to Fatima by devoting the whole week to a study of the life of Mary and finish up on Friday with the May Crowning instead of Mass on Friday. The whole school is participating so it should be a beautiful ceremony. Please feel free to join the school in the church at 8:15 on Friday as we crown the statue of the Blessed Mother and present to her our spiritual bouquets.
This week we will continue with our study of the ABC Book. We are working on the letter Y this week and will continue to work on rhyming words and sequencing. This week we will begin to study butterflies and caterpillars and how their metamorphosis happens. We will also do some water play in the classroom as the four year olds are looking at measuring water in their Lab Learner class in the afternoons. Be prepared for some dampness in our clothes when it is time to go home. It looks like it is shaping up to be a busy, yet fun, week. Thank you for all you do for us and for your support. Don’t forget about the Silent Auction this Saturday night. I am breaking out the cowboy boots again. It plans to be a fun evening to benefit the school. Hope to see you there.
