Greetings First Grade Families!

Here are some things that we are planning to discuss this week:

In Language Arts, we will continue practicing identifying and using the following sight words: he, was, that, she, on, they, but, at, with, all. We will also continue practicing writing the sight words in sentences, identifying vowels and consonants, using finger spaces between words when writing, and identifying rhyming words.

In Math, we will continue practicing subtraction skills in horizontal and vertical form.

In Religion, we will continue practicing the Morning Offering prayer and learning about the Three Wise Men and the meaning of epiphany.

In Science, we will continue learning about the differences between freezing water and melting water.

In Social Studies, we will be learning about types of transportation (past, present, and future).
